Yes, if it's up to about 2 mm thick. Without a case, clip in the thin liner that comes with the kit.

The frame clicks together by hand: no screws, no glue, no tools. Each pin snaps into its hub with a clear click, so you can feel when a joint sits.

Not in a normally lit room: the app uses the phone's torch at low power. The add-on (+€25) clips two USB light bars on at 45° left and right, which helps on a dark desk or with glossy paper. Don't put a lamp straight above the mat; that's where glare comes from.

The kit has a set of spare clips and pins. If something else breaks within two years, email support@hoverscan.dev with a photo and we'll send a new part for free.

Yes, the STL files cost €12. All parts print in PETG without supports, about 0.6 kg for one rig. The tallest bar stands 232 mm high on the plate, so you need at least 235 mm of build height. The app unlock is not included with the files.

Any iPhone with iOS 26. File names come out best on iPhones with Apple Intelligence; on others a simpler reader takes over.

It's in development. The Galaxy and Pixel cradles are ready now, and any document scanner app works in the rig until then.

In Nextcloud, open Settings → Security and create an app password. In the app, open Settings and enter the server address (https://…), your user name and that app password. Scans go into the folder Belege unless you pick another.

Run Calibrate once with a blank A4 sheet in the middle of the mat; that sets the zone the app watches. Then check that the receipt lies inside the dashed band and nothing moves above it. A banner at the top always says what the app is waiting for.
